We are very close to the arrival of the second season of The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Powerwhich adapts the events that occur shortly before what happened in Peter Jackson’s films that adapted the events of the books The Hobbit and the story of destroying the one ring. Although it did not stand out in audience with the first episodes, it managed to attract so much adaptation that Prime Video want to bring a second wave with new stories from Middle Earth.
As usual, not all episodes will be released on the platform at once, but rather they will be released on a weekly basis so that the public pays less than two monthly subscriptions for the service and thus the production costs will be more profitable for the company. Only this time, three of them will be released, and then five more will be released every Thursday, making a total of eight episodes, each lasting approximately one hour, culminating on October 3.
Here is the release schedule:
This is the synopsis of the show:
Driven out by Galadriel, Sauron returns, though he has no army or allies. The Dark Lord’s rise now depends only on his ability to rebuild his power and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, with which he could bend all the peoples of Middle-earth to his will. But his mission will not be as simple as he had imagined. The forces of good will fight to keep those he loves safe.
Remember that these three initial episodes arrive on August 29th in Amazon Prime Video.

Author’s note: I’m going to have to re-run the franchise with the Hobbit movies and then the classics. Plus the first season of this series, so by the time I get to that point all the episodes will be available.
