MANUELA BIANCHI and LOUIS DASSILVA
Pierina crime, twist: daughter-in-law Manuela confesses. “With Louis it wasn’t just a simple flirtation”
A twist in the case of Pierina Paganelli, the 78-year-old from Rimini killed last year in the garage of her home. Between Louis Dassilva, the only suspect for the woman’s murder, and her daughter-in-law – Manuela Bianchi – in fact, there wouldn’t have been a simple flirtation. Manuela herself lets “Pomeriggio Cinque News” know: for the first time the woman reveals some more details about her relationship with her neighbor and admits: “A simple flirtation wouldn’t reflect me, I’m not that kind of woman. In my opinion there was a different intensity between what I felt for him and what he felt for me. We lived it differently”, underlines Bianchi.
There are those who think that the story between the two is not over, but Manuela Bianchi is keen to point out: “She’s dead and buried, I think she did enough damage to both of them, it probably wasn’t something it was meant to be. It was a big mistake that brought great suffering. It wasn’t a small thing.”. Now Pierina Paganelli’s daughter-in-law looks ahead and thinks about how to overcome this difficult and painful period: “I’m thinking about how to start a new life. Many talk about the light at the end of the tunnel, I don’t see it and instead I would like to see it”, she says. Both the victim and her son, Giuliano Saponi (Manuela’s husband), would have been aware of the extramarital relationship between Manuela and a man, but would not have known her identity. “I’m sure my mother-in-law didn’t know it was Louis. She had been told by my husband and my husband had been told by me – reveals the woman who adds – I didn’t keep things hidden, I left home because there were family problems and I had admitted that there was a another man. But they didn’t know who,” she concludes.
