It seems that Marvel’s Wolverine has once again been the victim of a leakalthough the gameplay videos that have emerged in the last few hours would seem to belong to an old build of the game developed by Insomniac Games.
Most likely it is sequences captured from the same preliminary version of the tie-in that we have already seen at work at the time of the data theft, and which could differ substantially from the current aspect of the action game.
This thesis is undoubtedly confirmed the inconstancy of animations and interactions with the scenario regarding the protagonist and his enemies, who still seem to be missing several assets.
A tortuous journey
As you surely remember, last December Insomniac Games was hacked and someone stole materials and information on Marvel’s Wolverine, and then published them online in the following weeks.
It was an operation that closely resembles what happened to Naughty Dog with The Last of Us Part 2, although then the story also had different implications and far from pleasant for both the developers and the cast.
The serious violation does not seem to have worried the development team too much, evidently aware that the stolen videos belong to a very dated build and that therefore the game is currently in significantly better conditions.
Unfortunately, the presence of details relating to the story will inevitably give rise to spoilers between now andrelease of Marvel’s Wolverinewhich has not yet been officially set by Sony and Insomniac Games.
Speaking of the mutant with claws, we will soon see him again in his iconic film version in the film Deadpool & Wolverine, presented with a trailer a few weeks ago and arriving in Italian cinemas on July 24th.
