The club from Goiás spoke out against the player from Rio de Janeiro, who pushed Álvaro de Castro from behind during a match at Maracanã
This Sunday (June 16, 2024) Atlético Goianiense called the player Felipe Melo, from Fluminense, “big coward”, after the midfielder attacked a press officer from the Goiás club. The incident occurred during a match between the two teams on Saturday (June 15), at the Maracanã Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Atlético also said that “It doesn’t matter how many cups you’ve lifted in your career, [Felipe Melo] will forever continue to be inhumane and anti-deportist”.
This is the only video made after the goal. There wasn’t even an “invasion” of the field. The return after recording is done next to the line. There was no looking, there was no filming, there was absolutely nothing directed at the Fluminense bench.
