Known ones the visible participation of social celebrities in the marketing campaign of Happy flops sandals has aroused consternation.
Responsibility influencer Outi Pyy raised the grievances of the campaign from the beginning of the week on his own Instagram account. Pyy told HS on Wednesday that Behind the happy flops phenomenon is a campaign in which social media celebrities and influencers have joined without finding out its background.
The sandals of the Swedish brand Happy flops are made in China from ethyl vinyl acetate. Sandals are sold to consumers on the brand’s Finnish pages for 29.99 euros a pair.
Pyy hopes that the product has at least a certificate guaranteeing product or chemical safety and an audited factory. The brand does not have them, and there is no mention of responsible production on the website.
Sandals have been marketed in Finland by, among others Janni Hussi, Jutta Larm and Maria Veitola.

He wrote that he had cooperated with a Swedish company whose management office Mellakka management had agreed on his behalf. According to Veitola, sufficient background research had not been done when starting the cooperation, and the company’s background had not been questioned.

Janni Hussi didn’t want to answer questions on the phone either. He commented on the matter via text message.
“I have ended cooperation with the company and asked to remove all materials related to me,” Hussi replied.
Hussi also instructed to ask for additional comments from the management office Mellakka management.

According to Daaboul, according to the information received from Happy flops, “the claims made are not true”.
