Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Kislitsa: The United States found no violations during the inspection of Azov
Ukraine’s permanent representative to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, said that the US government checked Azov (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). His words lead RIA News.
Kislitsa stressed that the United States found no violations during the inspection of Azov. According to the diplomat, Kyiv welcomes the corresponding conclusion.
“We also highly appreciate the fact that the 12th Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard was audited by the US government, and no evidence of violations on the part of the Azov Brigade was found that could interfere with the provision of military assistance to this unit,” he said .
On June 11, The Washington Post, citing the State Department, reported that the US administration had lifted the ban on arms supplies to Azov. It will now have access to American weapons like any other unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the brigade is said to have passed a State Department audit that found “no evidence” of wrongdoing.
