Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea and Vietnam successively in the coming weeks. About it write “Vedomosti”.
The publication’s source in diplomatic circles clarified that the Russian leader’s trip to Vietnam could take place as early as June “and, most likely, immediately after his visit to the DPRK.” Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang Alexander Matsegora confirmed to the newspaper that Putin’s visit to North Korea is being actively prepared.
The Kremlin has not yet confirmed information about the president’s possible foreign tour.
On May 24, the Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Putin would take advantage of Pyongyang’s invitation for an official visit to the DPRK; the trip was being prepared by the relevant departments.
On May 15, the Russian President flew to China on his first foreign visit since his re-election. The visit took place in two stages: on May 16, Putin was in Beijing, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and on May 17, the Russian leader visited Harbin.
