What will be proposed in the Council of Ministers tomorrow will be a law decree to attack the scourge of waiting lists in public healthcare. After the ‘mystery’ on the type of measure, as far as Adnkronos Salute has learned, it will be an emergency measure that will implement the complex work carried out by the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci.
The decree will contain some impact and reorganization measures that do not require substantial resources, visits and exams on the weekend, for example. But also the single Cup for booking and time monitoring which will be entrusted to Agenas. The other measures, which require financial coverage, should instead end up in a bill, for example the role of pharmacies and specialist medicine. In the afternoon there will be a meeting between the technicians of the Ministry of Health and the Regions to find a common path for the sustainability of the measures.
The draft
The latest draft provides, in Article 10, that “to reduce waiting list times and avoid prolonged hospitalizations due to lack of availability for diagnostic tests, diagnostic and specialist visits can be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays and the time slot for the provision of such services may be extended”.
