Several countries and high-ranking officials in the world have expressed great rejection this Monday, May 27, of the Isarel attack in Rafah after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered the Israeli army to suspend its operations in that area in the extreme south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Army, in its version of events, indicated that it was an action based on “precise intelligence” and directed against two senior Hamas officials.
Given this, the bombing was described as “very serious”, unacceptable, terrifying, and outrageous. Even humanitarian organizations denounced that it was a “bloody” and “terrifying” night.
“Gaza is hell on earth. The images from last night are further proof of that,” the agency shared.
Since the controversial offensive against this town in the south of the Strip began, almost a million people have fled the violence, most of them to the beaches of Al Mawasi, overcrowded and without sanitation services or drinking water.
After the attack, the Israeli Army maintained its operations in the north of the Strip, with a bombardment west of Gaza City in which four people died, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
In addition, the armed forces attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp in the center of the Strip early this Monday morning, killing three people and leaving several wounded, Wafa said without specifying how many.
The deaths in Gaza exceed 36,000, with 66 in the last day after the Rafah massacre
The death toll in Gaza reached 36,050 this Monday, after 66 people died from Israeli fire in the last 24 hours, 45 of them in the bombing of a Rafah refugee camp (in the south) last night, according to the Ministry of Health of the enclave, controlled by Hamas.
Of the 45 deaths recorded in the massacre of the devastated territory south of the Strip, twenty-three are women, children or the elderly.
Additionally, in the last 24 hours, 383 people were injured, 249 of them in Rafah, bringing the total number to 81,026 since October 7.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza, under the control of Hamas, assures that, in addition, some 10,000 bodies remain under the rubble without ambulances or rescue teams being able to access them.
The American activist applauds the recognition of the Palestinian State by Spain
The historic American civil rights activist Angela Davis applauded this Monday in Barcelona Spain’s recognition of the Palestinian State and called for an end to the “genocide” in Gaza.
“Everything that is happening gives us wings to move and act. Spain has recognized the Palestinian State. That is the future. As well as Norway and Ireland,” said the activist, “critical” of the role of organizations and the international community .
“Free Palestine” was Davis’ last proclamation in front of an auditorium full of students, members of the educational community and some members of the regional government of Catalonia.
