Twelve people, six passengers and six crew members, were injured on a Qatar Airways flight departing from Doha and heading to Dublin due to severe turbulence encountered during the flight over Turkey.
Graeme McQueen, head of media relations for Dublin Airport’s operator, told Sky News that ‘Qatar Airways flight QR017 from Doha landed safely as scheduled at Dublin Airport just before 1pm today’ ‘McQueen explained that “upon landing the plane was greeted by emergency services, including the airport police and our fire and rescue department, as six passengers and six crew members sustained injuries. after the plane suffered turbulence while flying over Turkey”.
Earlier this week a British citizen died on a Singapore Airlines flight after extreme turbulence during a journey from London’s Heathrow Airport to Singapore.
