After beginning a ground offensive in the Kharkiv region, in northwestern Ukraine, the week before last, Russia carried out missile attacks on the oblast this Thursday (23) and killed at least seven civilians in a printing shop in the regional capital, the city of Kharkiv .
The region’s military leader, Oleg Synegubov, said five of the dead civilians were women. Another 16 people were injured in the print shop.
In the last two weeks, Russia began a ground offensive in the Kharkiv region, opening a new front in the war that began in February 2022. Locations were captured and Ukraine is trying to prevent Russian troops from reaching the city of Kharkiv.
Last week, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, was in the Kharkiv region and announced a reinforcement of local units.
“We clearly see how the occupier is trying to distract our forces and make our combat work less concentrated,” said the president, before the visit.
