Security forces detained Vladimir Verteletsky, an officer from the Department for Providing State Defense Orders of the Russian Ministry of Defense. War correspondent Yuri Kotenok reports this in his Telegram-channel.
According to him, Verteletsky was taken away in a paddy wagon.
It also reports the arrest of the officer Telegram– Baza channel. It is reported that Verteletsky is suspected of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale – a car and a house – from an entrepreneur who worked with the state defense order. The officer registered them in the name of relatives.
Earlier, the amount of the bribe to the arrested Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia Vadim Shamarin was disclosed. According to investigators, he received 36 million rubles from the management of one of the companies.
