Scientist Dolgov: the massacre of Raisi for the sake of power in Iran is fantastic
Leading researcher at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Boris Dolgov in a conversation with Tsargrad denied version of the reprisal against Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi for the sake of power in the country. He called such an assumption fantastic.
The scientist emphasized that all put forward versions of a plane crash involving the leader of the Islamic Republic must be treated with extreme caution. Namely, the version of internal political struggle in Iran, in his opinion, should be categorically rejected. The specialist argued his words by the fact that the country’s leadership controls the situation, and in Iran there is simply no strong opposition vying for power.
“This is an Islamic republic, Iran, where the main leader, the real leader, is the Supreme Leader, everyone around him professes the same ideology, the idea of the Islamic Revolution,” Dolgov explained, clarifying that even the opposition adheres to this ideology and would not be able to use such terrorist methods to eliminate a person.
The scientist called Israeli intervention a more likely version of what happened, since the current situation could destabilize the situation in the Islamic republic. However, it will be possible to talk about this only after more accurate results of the investigation are known, the publication’s interlocutor concluded.
Earlier, Reuters, citing an Israeli official who wished to remain anonymous, reported that Israel was not involved in the plane crash involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
