Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Russian Belgorod region, said on Monday that drone strikes targeted two buses carrying people to work, killing six and wounding 35 others.
The governor explained that the attack occurred near the village of “Bryozovka” near the Ukrainian border. He posted a picture of a bus with its windows smashed.
Gladkov said on the Telegram application, “Two small trucks (…) that were transporting employees to their workplace and a car were attacked by suicide drones.”
He added, “Six people died (…) and 35 people were injured, including a man in a difficult situation,” while the other wounded suffered “somewhat serious injuries due to shrapnel, and paramedics transported them to medical centers in the area.”
He noted that “two children suffered from superficial wounds.”
The Russian Investigative Committee, which is responsible for major investigations in the country, opened an investigation into the attack.
