The 2023 Formula 3 season ended less than two months ago in Monza, but the preparatory category is already looking to the future. Post-season tests took place in October with three sessions between Jerez, Barcelona and Imola, in which many teams have already sent the riders they will field during the next championship onto the track.
Among these teams there is also Prema, which starting from the Jerez session at the beginning of the month put Gabriele Minì behind the wheel of one of its cars, who thus returned to the team with which he won the Italian Formula 4 Championship in 2020. He then moved on to the Formula Regional by Alpine European Championship, where he secured second place at the end of the 2022 season at the wheel of a car from the ART Grand Prix team and entry into the French company’s development academy of young pilots. This year he raced in Formula 3 with Hitech, taking two victories, including one in the prestigious setting of Monte Carlo.
After having carried out the end-of-championship tests together, on Thursday the Italian team confirmed the return of Minì full-time, who will thus contest his second season in Formula 3 next year with the colors of Prema. The eighteen-year-old Sicilian will be Dino Beganovic’s teammate, waiting for the team to also confirm its third driver for 2024.

However, in addition to the announcement of the new collaboration, the Venetian team also confirmed that Minì will take part in the next F3 World Cup which will be held in Macau from 17 to 19 November. For the Italian it will be his first participation in the prestigious Asian race.
“I am very happy to join PREMA Racing for the 2024 season. The team had a very good season last year and together we had some very promising tests. Our only goal will be to fight for the title and I don’t see the “It’s time to get on track to start the new season”, explained the Italian driver.
“We are really proud to have Gabriele back with us. We really enjoyed working with him in 2020 and are happy to do so again. We are extremely satisfied with how our 2024 line-up is shaping up: we have proven winners with high potential at our side and a great experience. We can’t wait for the new season to start and can’t wait to prepare as best we can,” added Team Principal René Rosin.
