February 5, 1967 is a historic date that everyone remembers in Ferrari, and those who do not remember it will be able to refresh their memory if they are told about an image with three Reds crossing the finish line in a parade.
That was the day on which Daytona 24 ended and the photo went around the world and made history as one of the Prancing Horse’s greatest feats.
The names of the winners tend to remain impressed, in that case Lorenzo Bandini and Chris Amon aboard the official car # 24, flanked by the # 23 of Mike Parkes and Ludovico Scarfiotti.
The podium was completed, as per orders received directly from Maranello via a phone call from Enzo Ferrari, by the private 412 P # 26 shared by Pedro Rodriguez and Jean Guichet, and prepared by the North American Racing Team founded by Luigi Chinetti.

And this glorious car, 55 years after that third step conquered, thundered again on the Fiorano track, after a meticulous restoration and fine-tuning by the employees of the Ferrari Classiche department.
Carlos Sainz Jr. was lucky enough to sit behind the wheel, following in the footsteps of his teammate Charles Leclerc, who a few weeks ago had had the unique opportunity to test the Formula 1 Ferrari 312, also protagonist ‘it in the 1967 season.
Needless to say, the Spaniard was able to experience an extraordinary thrill in getting into the cockpit of one of the most beautiful prototype sports cars of those times, also tackling something new behind the wheel.

“It’s completely different from anything I’ve ever piloted before today, it was a huge thrill,” Sainz said after taking the 412 P to take new steps.
“I had never had the opportunity to drive a Sport Prototype car, moreover belonging to this era, and it is truly something different from any other car I’ve ever driven in my life.”
“These are things that can only happen in Ferrari, so I thank everyone for this gift”.
