On the pier of Villa d’Este there is a charging station for electric boats. It is an infrastructure JuicePole by Enel X Way 22 kW + 22, technology that Enel’s business unit dedicated to mobility has decided to install in Cernobbio on the occasion of the Ambrosetti Forum, which will take place in the Lombard location until Sunday 4 September. The goal is to offer a bridge between e-mobility and sustainable tourism, thus adding a new charging infrastructure for battery boats after the one installed in Portofino.
For an even more complete and unique electric experience, Enel X Way has also activated a zero-emission taxi boat service dedicated to the guests of the three days who will be able to enjoy the beauties of Lake Como aboard a silent boat with over 50 miles of autonomy. The Enel X Way initiative it fits perfectly into the strategy of the company which definitely focuses on the integration and rapid diffusion in Italy and globally of the different types of electric mobility, including that in the nautical sector. Electric boating is a rapidly expanding segment globally and is dedicated to boats powered by electric motors. It is a navigation solution that is becoming more and more popular in geographic, marine or river areas, particularly relevant from a landscape point of view, which are perfectly suited to the spread of tourism that is attentive to the needs of the environment. From boating to the road: Enel X Way has installed over 16,000 charging points for electric vehicles across the country, which globally have risen to over 300,000 thanks to interoperability agreements.
