His Excellency the Saudi Public Prosecutor, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mojeb, emphasized the judicial and criminal protection of the holy sites and those who intend to them from all forms of felony or assault.
This came in a speech delivered by His Excellency on the occasion of the inauguration of the Hajj Works Prosecution, which is followed by (20) specialized public prosecutions that carry out their penal duties, which during the inauguration was directed to increase it to become (27) prosecutors to carry out all parliamentary jurisdictions, such as investigation, public prosecution, appeals of judgments, oversight and inspection of cases. Prisons and places of detention, and supervision of the implementation of penal sentences, with human cadres of distinguished justice, with tight institutional plans, and an integrated technical process.
His Excellency noted the great interest the Kingdom gives, great care, and special care, to the holy sites and their pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims, since their unification by the founder King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – to the present day with the support and follow-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince Al-Amin – may God preserve them – and what the state has approved in the just systems that preserve the rights of pilgrims and pilgrims and take into account their interests.
Sheikh Al-Mojeb stressed that Hajj is a religious obligation for Muslims in general, and it is prohibited to raise sectarian slogans and political parties, and that this matter requires strict criminal accountability, pointing out that the sanctity of crime on pilgrims and pilgrims in all its forms, or the exploitation of religious rituals, or holy places, is one of the issues that demand Public Prosecution to apply the most severe penalties against those convicted.
