Piazza Affari, collapse of -1.63%: Ukraine, new lockdowns in China and flash crashes sink stocks on the stock exchange
There Milan Stock Exchange closed sharply, albeit above the lows reached after flash crash of the morning, weighed down by fears for the evolution of conflict between Russia and Ukrainefrom the price rush, from the possibility that the monetary tightening may turn out to be quicker than expected and possible economic slowdown related to lockdown in China.
The index Ftse Eb, in line with the other European markets with the exception of London, ended the session down by 1.63% to 23,857 points. Among the stocks in the main index, a black day for Tenaris (-3.85%), Prysmian (-3.75%), Recordati (-3.30%) e Interpump (-3.15%). Weak banks with Banco Bpm down by 1.85%, Unicredit 2.75% e Intesa Sp 1.66%. Galaxy sold Exorwith the holding that sold 2.79%, Stellantis which is back by 3.07% e Ferrari which left 2.19% on the ground. Bad too Tod’s (-2.77%) e Tim (-2.48%).
On the other side it shone Mediobancaprotagonist of a jump of 2.16% after winning the assembly of General (-0.83%). Among the few actions with a positive sign, Atlantia (+ 0.22%), Nexi (+ 0.19%) e Italgas (+ 0.16%) helped by the good quarterly report.
