Sami Välimäki, Kalle Samooja and Tapio Pulkkanen also made it to the last two rounds.
Mikko Korhonen continues to be the best Finnish golf at the Qatar Masters.
The Helsinki resident cleared Friday’s round with 72 strokes (par) and will be in the overall result after two days. He shares 24th place in the DP World Tour.
Also Sami Välimäki (-1), Kalle Samoa (-1) and Tapio Pulkkanen (par) secured their continuation. Välimäki and Samoa are in 42nd place. Pulkkanen is in his 60s.
Spain is at the top of the race Pablo Larrazabal with a result of -9 (64 + 71).
Korhonen anticipates that the race will become more challenging as the wind promised in the weather forecast rises. The prediction was true and the windy weather put the players strong.
“It was a little tighter today, the wind was the complete opposite of yesterday. Quite a good round. A few short putt went by, but otherwise a good day. Energy is still a bit low after last week’s belly. In time, it will be so good to sleep, ”Korhonen said in a press release.
