The UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office announced the start of the activation of the second phase of the system of medical procedures approved to deal with the country’s pilgrims during their presence in the Holy Lands to perform Hajj rituals.
According to the office, the first stage (within the country) included preparing lists with a comprehensive description and classification of cases included in the Hajj campaigns, and submitting lists of people with chronic and incurable diseases, geriatric diseases, and pregnant women, in addition to people of determination and senior citizens.
The second phase was launched (inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) for the medical committee in the Pilgrims Affairs Office to follow up on the medical cases included in each campaign, by communicating with the campaign doctors and verifying the efficiency of the procedures followed, before starting to perform the Hajj rituals.
While the third phase (inside the holy sites) begins immediately after moving towards the holy sites, by providing specialized clinics for women and others for men in Mina, in addition to moving mobile medical teams between the campaigns and the tents, and activating hotlines to communicate with pilgrims and campaign doctors to respond to urgent medical inquiries.
