Cindy Flash, a 67-year-old American who fought for the rights of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, was murdered by Hamas terrorists during the Palestinian Islamic group’s attacks on Israel on the 7th.
Cindy lived in the settlement of Kfar Aza, in the south of Israel, which is close to the Gaza Strip, and disappeared together with her husband, the Israeli Igal, on the day of the terrorist attacks carried out against the Jewish State.
Kfar Aza was the target of a massacre carried out by terrorists from the Palestinian group Hamas.
On Thursday (12), Cindy’s family confirmed to the American newspaper USA Today that her and Igal’s bodies had been found alongside several other bodies of people who had been murdered in Kfar Aza.
According to information from the USA Today, Cindy was exchanging text messages and emojis with her daughter, Keren, before the attacks on the 7th began. At the moment the settlement became the target of the terrorists, Cindy reported in a text message to her daughter that the terrorists were breaking down the door of the room where she was staying.
“They’re breaking down the safe room door, we need someone to come to the house now,” Flash wrote.
Cindy Flash worked at a school in Kfar Aza. She went to live in Israel after visiting one of the Israeli settlements and liking the way life was led in these places.
Cindy’s daughter, Keren, described her mother as having “the sweetest, most generous heart” and who “dedicated her life to defending the rights of Palestinians.”
Keren, who lived in the same settlement, was rescued by Israeli authorities and managed to escape the day the attack occurred.
