Argentina.- Inhabitants of the city of Rosario, in Argentinahave taken extreme measures before the insecurity that exists in the region, for which neighbors have begun to chain their cars to trees and columns, as well as remove the tires to prevent them from being stolen, in some cases there are even no batteries left.
The unusual security measure began to be used in the west of the city, around the corner of Derqui and Donatedwhere the robberies of cars it was more and more frequent and in the face of the lack of response from the authorities, it led the neighbors to take extreme measures to take care of their heritage.
one of the victims of theft, Horacio N, said that he made the decision to avoid being robbed again, however others have decided to follow the example.
“Every day I take off the wheel because I suffered another act of insecurity and in the face of all these facts I have no choice but to come and remove the wheel. When I have to go out, I have to put it back and try to prevent them from taking my vehicle. I take out battery and wheel”, commented the man while showing his car without one of the tires.
“Battery theft is normal, they already took it out of me once. Not just the battery, I see that the modus operandi is that they drag your car away, so I said I’ll take a wheel off it. And if this isn’t enough I’ll get you another one. I don’t know,” said Horacio.
He added that he implemented the measure because “he wants to sleep peacefully at night so he can rest.”

But Horacio is not the only one who took this measure to avoid a possible robbery, because according to what he said, in the neighborhood a mechanical workshop does the same, for fear that the vehicles that are being repaired will be stolen.
“Here the neighbors chain the vehicles, to a column, to a tree, to the differential of the vehicle. Can’t live anymore. The lock for the steering wheel is no longer safe, the boys have it every morning and they take it the same way”, Horacio affirmed.
