Not everyone was happy with the new direction that Gran Turismo Sport hit at the time. While it was all about collecting cars next to racing, the focus of the previous part shifted to esports and online racing. Initially, there wasn’t even an offline mode. In the end, the makers crammed more than 300 cars into the game where you could adjust things like rims and stickers, but that was not enough for the fans of the first hour. Fortunately, we can report that there are more than 400 cars in Gran Turismo 7 which can also be modified.
Not only can you change the rims of the cars in Gran Turismo 7. You can customize everything from bumpers, spoilers, air filters, brakes and mufflers. As with previous games, you can perform maintenance and repairs, plus take the car through the car wash. They are small things, but for the real enthusiasts that is exactly what it is all about; feel like you are building a car collection that is yours.
In the video below you get a small impression of the range of cars and the level of detail that the makers put into the game. The new GT is scheduled for March 4, 2021 and is coming to the PlayStation 5 and 4. Keep in mind that the makers have a knack for delaying the game until they find it perfect. So it may just be that we can only get started with the game in the summer, although of course we hope not.
