In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and President of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Foundation launched the first stages of operating the largest hospitals in Shabwa Governorate. Yemen, which is considered the third largest Yemeni governorate, in terms of area, and consists of 17 districts.
The inauguration of the first phase of operating the hospital comes within the framework of the humanitarian initiatives of the UAE offered to the brothers in Yemen and implemented by the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works under the directives of the wise leadership to alleviate human suffering, especially the difficulties experienced by the health sector in Yemen, by adopting health initiatives The quality of comprehensive health care.
A delegation from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, in the presence of Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, Governor of Shabwa, inaugurated the first phase of the Shabwa General Hospital Authority.
An official source at the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation said that the humanitarian and development projects of the UAE, which are spread all over the world, contribute to enhancing the comprehensive development process and positively reflect on improving people’s lives, especially the health sector, which is one of the most important reasons for the progress and development of society and ranks first among Where the importance of countries in the development process.
The official source added that the opening of Shabwa General Hospital aims to enhance health care services in the governorate, facilitate access and improve health care services, quality and effectiveness.
For his part, Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir said, “Today, as we inaugurate the Shabwa General Hospital Authority, we are pleased with the presence of brothers from the Emirates on the land of Yemen, and through the Emirati delegation, we offer our deepest condolences on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, may God rest his soul, a man of humanity and unlimited giving, especially to Yemen.” We also thank the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the government and people of the Emirates for what they have provided and provided to us in Yemen in relief and development assistance that alleviate the difficult conditions we are going through.
The son of the minister stressed that “this medical edifice will bring abundant good to the people of Shabwa and the neighboring governorates, and it will start from today in the first operational phase by receiving patients in emergency medicine, general surgery, orthopedics and internal medicine.”
He pointed out that “later, the stages will include the expansion of the outpatient clinic building, the diagnostic radiology department and specialized departments, scheduling appointments for visiting and foreign doctors to treat difficult cases,” after the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, through its medical operator, thankfully ensured that this was provided.
Shabwa General Hospital consists of 350 medical beds, where 100 beds were equipped with all different medical specialties in the first phase, in addition to the preparation of 250 beds in the second phase, which is in full swing.
