The Civil Guard recovered 123 mobile phones, eight tablets, a laptop and numerous tools
The Civil Guard arrested two men in Huércal-Overa (Almería) accused of three crimes against property and to whom they are aware of different judicial and police requisitions, after recovering 123 mobile phones, eight tablets, a laptop stolen in Vera (Almería) and Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia) and numerous tools used to commit crimes.
The operation began after learning from the Huércal-Overa Local Police that in the district of Santa María de Nieva there were several people who were surprised when they were leaving a previously stolen vehicle and in which, after inspection, they found several tools such as goat legs, a mallet and shears, among others, likely to be used to commit robberies. Both bodies organized a device to fence and control access to the district and the environment of the stolen vehicle until they observed, at night, a taxi that was heading to the area and was intercepted in the industrial estate of the municipality.
In addition to the taxi driver, two clients wearing gloves, a screwdriver and a device that could be used to steal vehicles were located inside, who were identified and who had several police requisitions for their arrest and appearance at official offices in Seville, Cádiz, Huelva and Jaén, in addition to legal requirements in Seville and Cádiz to find out his whereabouts.
According to the police investigation, the suspects were staying in a rural house near the place where the stolen car was, where 123 mobile phones, eight tablets and a laptop were found, mostly belonging to the spoils of two robberies with force committed in Vera (Almería) and Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia). The proceedings instructed by the Civil Guard, together with the detainees, were made available to the guard court in Huércal-Overa (Almería).
