For the staircase of Trinità dei Monti in Rome there is really no peace. Only a few weeks ago a man behind the wheel of his Maserati Levante had, according to him inadvertently, taken the famous steps in the capital, causing considerable damage. In recent days, however, the news of another means of transport protagonist of a stunt on the same Roman staircase: we are talking about a electric scootervoluntarily thrown in the middle of the night by a 28-year-old US tourist down the steps.
The event, which took place on the night between 2 and 3 June at 2:45, did not go unnoticed at surveillance cameras, who have immortalized the whole scene in detail: one can clearly see how the girl, together with her partner, voluntarily let the electric scooter she had rented fall along the famous staircase. Both were fined 400 euros (800 euros in total therefore), but for the girl the consequences of her did not stop there: the launch of the scooter also led to a complaint by the local police of Rome capital for damage to a monumental property. The extent of the damage caused by the stunt has not yet been precisely quantified: the only certainty is that the iconic Trinità dei Monti has gone through better and above all more peaceful times.
