The Trends Center for Research and Consultation concluded a successful and distinguished participation in the 33rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, in which it presented a wide range of seminars, lectures, discussion sessions, launches of new publications, visits, and signing cooperation agreements over seven days.
On the last day of the exhibition, the Trends Center participated in a dialogue session entitled “Sustaining Cultural Thought for Emirati Youth,” which was organized by the “Aqdar Cultural Salon.” Dr. Muhammad Al-Ali, CEO of Trends, stressed in his intervention during the session the importance of culture in shaping community awareness and the role of cultural sustainability in preserving the historical, cultural and identity heritage of societies. He pointed out that the United Arab Emirates pays great attention to the concept of sustainability in its various dimensions, including cultural sustainability, which has become a fundamental pillar of sustainable development strategies.
He pointed out that cultural sustainability in the youth sector is more special and a priority, because of the value and status of youth, as a basic pillar of Emirati society. He touched on the efforts of the Trends Center to create a sustainable cultural environment, and to create the appropriate atmosphere and conditions to empower talents and flourish cultural and creative industries, pointing to the establishment of a Youth Scientific Research Council at Trends, consisting of young people who are passionate about culture and knowledge, and seek to strengthen them in the hearts of their young peers. He also pointed out the launch of several training programs directed at young people, in order to raise their research and cognitive skills.

On the other hand, the Trends Center for Research and Consultation participated in the professional program of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, through a working paper presented by Dr. Fattouh Heikal, the scientific advisor to the center, entitled “Publishing in study centers… What is different?” It addressed the main points that distinguish publishing in study centers from publishing in scientific periodicals and journals, where Dr. Heikal stressed that study centers enjoy unique advantages that make them more capable of providing accurate and objective research and intellectual products, due to their commitment to a strict scientific methodology, their use of reliable sources of information, and their submission to For scientific arbitration.
