The world’s largest aircraft, the Ukrainian AN-225 ‘Mriya’, was destroyed in a Russian air raid on Hostomel airport, near the city of Kyivaccording to the official Twitter account of the government of Ukraine.
The translation of ‘Mriya’ in Spanish is dream and Dmytro Kuleba, is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, used his Twitter account to give some words of encouragement to his people.
“This was the largest plane in the world, the AN-225 ‘Mriya’ (‘Dream’ in Ukrainian). Russia may have destroyed our ‘Mriya’. But they can never destroy our dream of a strong, free and democratic European state. We will prevail!” she wrote.

repair costs
According to the state concern Ukroboronprom, the restoration of the ‘Mriya’ will take about five years and will cost around 3,000 million dollars. In addition, the director of the Ukrainian State Infrastructure and Transport Company, Yurii Gusev, specified that they will apply all efforts so that the repair costs are borne by Russia.
The largest plane in the world was burned and had arrived in the country on February 5 from Denmark and since then had not left the country.
