The reservoirs have 55 cubic hectometers less than on the same date of the previous year and drop to 36.2% of their capacity
The swamps of the Segura basin have reserves of 413 cubic hectometres, 12 fewer than last week, according to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). The Segura reservoirs have 55 cubic hectometres less than on the same date the previous year and 27 less than the average they usually store at this time of year (440 cubic hectometres).
Thus, the swamps of the Segura basin are at 36.2% of their total capacity. In the country as a whole, the reservoirs store 19,671 cubic hectometres (hm3) of water, which represents a decrease in the last week of 503 cubic hectometres (0.9 percent of the current total capacity of the reservoirs).
The reserve by areas is as follows: Cantábrico Oriental is at 69.9%; Western Cantabrian Sea at 58.7%; Miño-Sil at 47.6%; Galicia Coast to 55.3%; Internal basins of the Basque Country at 76.2%; Douro at 37.1%; Cut to 37.1%; Guadiana at 24.2%; Red, Odiel and Piedras at 66.4%; Guadalete-Barbate at 24.5%; Guadalquivir at 21.4%; Andalusian Mediterranean Basin at 41.1%; Safe at 36.2%; Jucar at 54.6%; Ebro at 41.5%; and Internal Basins of Catalonia at 38.7%.
