A Beechcraft E90 King Air plane crashed into a car dealership on approach to Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport in Marietta. On Tuesday, October 18, reports the local edition The Marietta Times with reference to the Ohio State Highway Service.
“The accident happened around 7 am near a car dealership. Two people died. Eight cars burned down,” the publication says.
Preliminarily, the pilot and one passenger were among the dead.
According to an airport spokesman, the ship can accommodate six to ten passengers. How many people were on board the plane is still unknown.
Law enforcement and firefighters are on the scene.
Earlier, on September 17, it was reported that three people died as a result of a collision of two small aircraft in the sky near the American Denver, Colorado. Eyewitnesses said they saw the two aircraft collide over Boulder County. The pilots of both aircraft were among the dead.
