During the Nintendo Direct we had many surprises that left us stunned, but the biggest was The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomwhich now stars the princess of Hyrule. This is because Link has been sidelined and hidden by Ganon’s force. At least that’s what they tell us in the presentation video.
The focus of this installment, as you can see in the trailer, is the puzzles. Once again we can tour the Hyrule that we saw in A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds, but with a completely different approach. It will be interesting to see if the freedom present in titles like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will carry over with a more traditional map for the series. This is the official description of this delivery:
βThe people of Hyrule are being held captive by strange rifts that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing. He teams up with the mysterious fairy Tri and uses Tri Rod’s power to create echoes: imitations of things found in the environment. She then recreates those echoes whenever you want to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes from water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at enemies, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way.β
Regarding the release date, It will be September 26 when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is available on the Nintendo Switch. On related topics, you can check out our summary of the Nintendo Direct here. Likewise, a new Mario Party is on the way.
