An inscription in honor of Stalin was installed on Mount Kitkay in the Irkutsk region
The inscription “Stalin” was installed on the slope of Mount Kitkay in the Irkutsk region. It became known about a new art object in the Russian region “To Kommersant”.
The art object is dedicated to the exile of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin to Siberia. The mountain is located next to the village of Novaya Uda, where in 1903 the politician spent a month and a half.
According to Anatoly Obukhov, deputy of the legislative assembly of the Irkutsk region from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the inscription cost 258 thousand rubles. These funds were spent on iron sheets, wood and fasteners. Five local residents were involved in installing the letters. The publication’s interlocutor noted that not far from the inscription there is a gazebo, which is also associated with Stalin’s exile.
Earlier, residents of Orlov in the Kirov region complained to the prosecutor’s office after the installation of a monument to Stalin in a children’s park.
