Russian media have repeatedly written about the ill-treatment of prisoners at the Melohovo penitentiary.
Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalnyi has been transferred to a high-security penitentiary in the village of Melohovo in the Vladimir region of Russia, says russian online media Jellyfish. The Russian news agency also reported on the matter Tass.
In the village of Melohovo there is a penitentiary number six, in Russian “IK-6”. The penitentiary is located about 250 kilometers from Moscow.
Chairman of the Regional Section of the Social Rights Committee Sergei Jazan told Russian news agency Ria Novost that Navalnyi is currently in the Melohovo penitentiary.
