In Doha, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, said on the “X” platform: My sincere condolences to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the death of President Ebrahim Raisi.
In Baghdad, Iraq, in a statement by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, expressed its support for the Iranian people and Iranian leaders in this tragic incident.
“It is with great sadness and great sorrow that we received the news of the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions, during the unfortunate plane crash in northern Iran.”
He added, “As we extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Mr. Ali Khamenei, and to the Iranian government and people, we express our solidarity with the brotherly Iranian people and with the responsible brothers in the Islamic Republic in this painful tragedy.”
In Islamabad, Pakistan, on Monday, mourned the Iranian president who died and his accompanying delegation on Sunday in a helicopter crash.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared a day of mourning in Pakistan out of respect for the death of Raisi and his companions in the plane crash.
Sharif wrote on the X platform: “We express our sincere condolences and sympathy to Iran for this terrible loss.”

On Monday, Iranian media and sources announced the death of the Iranian President and his Foreign Minister in a helicopter crash in the northeast of the country, yesterday evening, Sunday.
Reuters also quoted an Iranian official as saying that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian were killed when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed on Sunday.
Iranian media announced a short while ago that “within minutes the killing of the president and his companions in the helicopter crash will be officially announced.”
The East Azerbaijan Army Commander confirmed on Monday morning that “some of the bodies of the helicopter passengers were burned and could not be identified.”
The Commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps of East Azerbaijan said, “The Foreign Minister, the Governor of East Azerbaijan, and Khamenei’s representative in this province are also present on board this helicopter.”
Earlier Monday, Iranian state television announced that there was “no sign” of life in the wreckage of the helicopter that was carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials.
The television reported, “When the helicopter was found, there was no sign that the helicopter’s passengers were alive.”
An official had told Reuters news agency that all passengers were likely killed in the helicopter crash of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
He added: “The Iranian president’s plane was completely burned in the crash.”
