Putin appointed Kuznetsov acting head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug
Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Vladislav Kuznetsov, who was the first deputy chairman of the government of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), as acting head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The change of the head of the Russian region is mentioned in the relevant decreepublished on the Kremlin website.
It is noted that Putin held a working meeting with Kuznetsov via video conference.
Since 2008, the post of head of Chukotka was held by Roman Kopin, he was relieved of his post in connection with a statement about the early termination of his powers.
Vladislav Kuznetsov is a graduate of the fourth stream of the “School of Governors”, a program for training the personnel managerial reserve of the civil service, launched in June 2017 on the basis of the Higher School of Public Administration (GSSU).
Earlier, Vladimir Putin met with Acting Governor of the Zaporozhye Region Yevgeny Balitsky. They discussed socio-economic issues, and also touched upon the topic of security in Zaporozhye.
Prior to that, Vladimir Putin appointed Major General of the Internal Service Alexei Girichev to the post of Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service. Girichev was also relieved of his post as head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vladimir Region.
