The units will begin operating from 2029 to 2030; According to the oil company, the model reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 30%
A Petrobras informed that it signed this Friday (May 24, 2024) the contracts for the purchase of 2 platform ships from Seatrium O&G Americas Limited. The units will be installed in the pre-salt Santos Basin, in São Paulo.
The expectation is that production will begin from 2029 to 2030. According to the oil company, each unit will be capable of producing 225 thousand barrels of oil per day and processing 10 million m³ of gas per day, reducing emissions intensity by 30% of greenhouse gases per barrel of oil equivalent produced.
The installation of platforms P-84 and P-85 will be carried out, respectively, in the Atapu and Sépia fields. They will be the second units in their territories.

Its model is of the FPSO type, considered one of the most efficient to come into operation in Brazil. In addition to reducing gas emissions, the All Electric configuration they carry provides increased energy efficiency.
The construction of the platforms will be carried out in shipyards in Brazil, China and Singapore. The P-84 unit will have 20% local content and the P-85, 25%.
