Russian scientists from the Ural State Medical University and the Ural Federal University have named a sign of the imminent onset of ischemic stroke. The publication told about it “Gazeta.Ru” with reference to the Ministry of Education and Science.
A symptom indicating the onset of a stroke is a headache. Scientists, having studied and classified this pain, divided it into three groups: familiar to the patient, having variable characteristics, and pain that the patient had not previously experienced.
In stroke survivors, the first and third types of malaise are most often observed. 15 percent noted that they experienced a headache a week before the disease, another 15 admitted that they felt it at the very beginning of a stroke.
Doctors, having analyzed the data obtained along with existing ones, modernized diagnostic methods. Experts believe that the work done will help detect a stroke in a third of patients.
Earlier, the doctor called the signs of an asymptomatic course of COVID-19.
