Julian Nagelsmann, coach of the German national team, expects a difficult test against Hungary, “which has superior physical capabilities,” tomorrow, Wednesday, in the second round of the first group matches of the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024) in Germany.
Germany opened the Euro 2024 competitions by sweeping its Scottish counterpart 5-1 last Friday, but Nagelsmann does not expect a goal festival against Hungary in Stuttgart.
Today, Tuesday, Nagelsmann said in a press conference, “We do not expect to remove all competitors from the field.”
But Nagelsmann wants his team to tighten control of the course of the game, as happened against Scotland, and achieve victory to reserve its place in the round of sixteen.
He pointed out, “We will try to cause trouble for Hungary in the same way, but it depends on the way we play, and how we play the match.”
