The Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), leader of the World Championship, will start first this Sunday at the Austrian Grand Prix, the eleventh of the year, which takes place on the circuit owned by his team, where the Spanish Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) will start third, his compatriot Fernando Alonso (Alpine) -who did not start this Saturday, due to a breakdown- will do so from the bottom of the grill; and the Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) will start fifth.

Max Verstappen won the shortened race, just under a third of the way this Sunday -that is: 23 laps and about 99 kilometers-, ahead of the two Ferraris, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc and Sainz, who were second and third, respectively; at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, in Styria. ‘Checo’ -second in the championship- starred in the comeback of the sprint test, starting thirteenth and finishing fifth, behind Englishman George Russell (Mercedes), fourth this Saturday.
Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Alpine) was sixth, ahead of Danish Kevin Magnussen (Haas) and seven-time English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who finished eighth and was the last of those to score points, in a test in which all rolled with the medium tire. ‘Mad Max’ took eight extra points; Leclerc, seven; and so on until the spectacular and eccentric champion of Stevenage, who added one. They will all start in that order on the grid for the Austrian Grand Prix. The German Mick Schumacher (Haas) will do it from the ninth place, in the fifth row and together with the English Lando Norris (McLaren), who finished the sprint eleventh but moved up one place, since the Finn Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo), tenth this Saturday, he changed the power unit and will start from the last row. He will do it alongside Alonso, who, due to a strange breakdown that prevented him from starting his car, did not contest the shortened race and will start nineteenth this Sunday in Austria.
