Genoa – There are 2,262 new cases of positivity to Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours in Liguria compared to 16,747 swabs carried out, of which 3,490 are molecular and 13,257 rapid antigenic tests.

The number of positives at the moment in Liguria has exceeded 17,000: there are 17,096, of which 9,121 in the province of Genoa alone.
Hospitalizations and deaths
Hospitalizations are still decreasing: they are 16 more than on Monday March 21st. The total is 259 people hospitalized, of which 8 in intensive care.

The Ligurian local health authorities have transmitted to the Ministry of Health 5 death reports, relating to patients aged between 63 and 87 years. These are deaths that occurred between 17 and 20 March.

There are 16,105 people in home isolation, 631 more than on Monday. There are 1,683 in active surveillance.
The situation in Italy
They rise from 32,573 to 96,365 infections today in Italy, about 11,000 more than on Tuesday a week ago. The positivity rate, on the other hand, gains only one decimal compared to yesterday and stands at 15%. The deaths rose from 119 to 197, while in intensive care there are 8 fewer hospitalized but 241 more are those in the medical wards.
In Piedmont the number of infections with double the swabs increased from 2,315 to 3,345, while the deaths are 5, two less than yesterday. The cases rise from 2,544 to 11,378 in Lombardy with the positivity rate rising only by 0.8 to 11.9% while the deaths are 17, two more than yesterday.
New surge in Covid-19 cases in Veneto in the last 24 hours, from 1,938 to 8,355 new infections. This is a figure that reflects – on the rise – the trend of last Tuesday (over 7,000 cases), but confirms the increase in the contagion curve in progress. The regional bulletin reports 17 deaths. The current positives are also up, 68,136 (+1,835). In hospitals, admissions to the medical area rose (+27) to 743, while those in intensive care fell to 53 (-4).
Continue in Marche the growth phase of the cumulative incidence rate, which reached 1,178.82 per 100 thousand inhabitants (yesterday it was 1,162.71), with 3,513 positives detected in the 24 hours against 1,055 yesterday.
The new Covid cases registered in Tuscany in 24 hours there are 6,778 out of 42,520 tests of which 8,140 molecular swabs and 34,380 rapid tests. The new positives rate is 15.94%. Compared to yesterday, the new positives detected daily are more than triple (they were 2,105) on almost four times of tests performed (11,889 of which 5,199 molecular swabs and 6,690 rapid tests) but the rate of new positives drops (it was 17.71%) .
Infections rise to 11,172 today in Lazio, 6,767 more than yesterday, 5,091 are in Rome. Deaths remain at 14 while there are 12 more hospitalized in medical wards and 4 fewer those in intensive care.
Cases boom in Pugliawhich rise from 3,020 to 12,007 on 56,169 daily tests (positive at 21.3% from 15% yesterday) and 13 deaths (yesterday 4).
Cases tripled from 3,500 to 10,788 in Campaniawhere 4 deaths rise to 21.

It is stable in the remaining 5: Abruzzo (20%), Emilia Romagna (10%), Liguria (14%)Molise (15%) and Veneto (7%).
Always on a daily basis, theoccupation of intensive care by patients with Covid-19 it grows in Pa Bolzano (at 6%), Sardinia (11%) and Tuscany (6%) but decreases in Friuli Venezia Giulia (at 2%), Marche (2%) and Molise (0 %). Instead, it is stable in 15 regions or autonomous provinces: Abruzzo (7%), Basilicata (4%), Calabria (6%), Campania (6%), Emilia Romagna (6%), Lazio (8%), Liguria (4%)Lombardy (3%), Pa Trento (1%), Piedmont (4%), Puglia (5%), Sicily (7%), Umbria (7%), Valle d’Aosta (0%) and Veneto (3 %).
