The benefits of the race were allocated to the Food Bank of the Region of Murcia, under the organization of CD La Manga and the Easter group of the Disciples of Emmaus, belonging to the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Risen from Cartagena, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the Cartagena City Council. This is the 13th scoring test of the popular racing circuit Region of Murcia Running Challenge 2022.
The overall men’s victory went to José María López, from the Master 35 category, with a time of 24.37. Second place went to senior Fulgencio Angosto, from CA Mandarache Cartagena, who stopped the clock at 24:40. Master 40 Juan Antonio Zamora, from CD Runtritón Cartagena, finished on the podium by crossing the finish line in 24 minutes and 42 seconds.
In the women’s section, the absolute victory went to the CD Runtritón Cartagena athlete Kleine Gómez, from the Master 45 category, who finished the test in 30.57; followed by her clubmate Saray Paredes, master 35, who crossed the finish line in 31.23. Third place went to Master 45 Lara Sanmartín, from Costera Sur Pan Moreno, with a time of 32.56.
