Javier López Casarín, Deputy for the Green Party, announced that they will present a bill on cyber security to the Chamber.
The foregoing after it became known that the credit bureau had been hacked, with which data and credit history of tens of thousands of people were stolen.
“Our country cannot continue to be the target of cyberattacks. Therefore, our commitment to present a Federal Cybersecurity Law initiative. It will be the first step to create a solid legal framework on the matter,” the legislator wrote on his Twitter account. .
Regarding the hacking and theft of data, Buró de Crédito reported that “as part of its permanent information security review policy, it found, in some social networks, indications that suggested the illegal offer of information of natural persons that includes some data that coincides with the ones we administered in 2016 and that would have been improperly obtained.”
Likewise, the Bureau announced that the information detected contains sensitive user data, such as credit history and personal information, which had already been deleted from its database for being more than 7 years old.
With López Casarín’s proposal, special attention would be given to a front that has shown itself to be vulnerable to crime.
