The Israeli Army confirmed this Thursday (6) in a statement the death of one of its soldiers after clashes began with several members of the terrorist group Hamas over an attempted incursion into Israel from Rafah, in southern tip of the Gaza Strip.
In the note, the troops detail that they murdered three of the terrorists and said that there was no violation of Israeli territory by them.
The soldier killed was Zeed Mazariv, 34, who lost his life in an exchange of fire with the terrorists when they tried to infiltrate Israel by jumping over the border fence with the Strip, in which three Hamas members also died.
With Mazariv, there have already been 293 deaths and at least 1,500 injured in the ranks of the Israeli armed forces since they launched the ground operation against the terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip, while the deaths exceed 620 if you count those who lost their lives during last year’s October 7 terrorist attack carried out by Hamas.
The Israeli Army continues its operations in Rafah, from where more than a million people have fled to other parts of the Palestinian territory, and claims to have found today several tunnels used by Hamas terrorists in the enclave, one of them “in a child’s room.”
“The troops located a tunnel inside a child’s room and a butcher’s knife next to it,” he assured in the military statement about the discovery of tunnels in the south of the Strip.
Furthermore, according to the military statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out several “targeted attacks” in which they found “large quantities of weapons, including firearms, grenades, explosives, vests and additional military equipment” from Hamas in Gaza.
The Israeli Air Force also claims that its operations have already “hit dozens of terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.”
