In recent years Nintendo has shown a greater willingness to bring some franchises back to life, but there are still some cult series that have not yet been brought back to life, and perhaps the most important is F-Zero.
It’s been 18 years since Nintendo last released a new F-Zero game, and more than 20 since we last had a new console version. But apparently something could be in the works.
This indiscretion comes courtesy of SyluxHunter, a Nintendo insider who has provided accurate information in the past, including the release date of Bayonetta 3. SyluxHunter was recently interviewed by the SwitchForce YouTube channel, and on this occasion he provided a cryptic tip. in binary code.
Fans quickly tried to crack the code, but Twitter user Bozo the Chozo eventually translated it to YGBP or “You’ve Got Boost Power“, a phrase commonly heard in F-Zero games. SyluxHunter confirmed that this was an allusion.
YGBP = You Got Boost Power !!
It’s obviously F-Zerohttps://t.co/5WdB1khaRm

Maybe manage your expectations a little but yes, you were right.

So what could be in the works? Our insider says we should moderate our expectations a bit, so maybe a full sequel isn’t planned. Maybe some sort of retro-themed product is on the way for Nintendo Switch Online? A re-edition of the F-Zero GX? All that remains is to wait and see.
