iPhone: How To Block Unwanted Calls From Unknown Numbers!
Let’s face it, receiving spam calls is always annoying, even more so if we are engaged in something that requires our attention, such as work or study. But if you are an iPhone user then you can easily remedy this unbearable problem!
To block anonymous calls from unknown numbers, iPhones provide a special function that makes this its only purpose. The famous iPhone by it allows you to block all calls coming from unknown numbers not saved in the address book.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Go to settings
- Search and click the Phone item
- Move the toggle of the Silence Unknown Numbers switch to ON
Nothing simpler, right? However, the customization possibilities do not end there.
IPhones have really thought of everything from this point of view. After all, block all anonymous calls it might even cause you to miss some important onesso why not limit the restriction to some time slots in which receiving calls is particularly annoying to you? Or do you prefer to block them when you are using a specific app?
This can be done via the Full Immersion function available from iOS 15 onwards. This is a simple to use and highly customizable feature.
Here’s how to customize the feature
- Go to settings
- Search and select Full Immersion
- Choose one of the many modes available (for example Do Not Disturb)
- Move the switch at the top to ON
- Click on Add a schedule or automation at the bottom and customize as you like best
At this point all calls will be blocked, so you will have to be you to exclude the contacts you want from the limitation:
- Still in the Full Immersion settings, look for the Notification Allowed section and click on People
- Click on the (+) Add button and select the contacts to exclude
Alternatively, you can customize faster by clicking on Calls from, where you can choose a type of contacts. For example, you can decide to exclude all contacts, or only favorites and so on.
