The Russian space agency, Roscosmos, reported a hacking attack on the corporation’s website on Wednesday (2). According to the director general of the state-owned company, Dmitry Rogozin, the attack was neutralized and the activities of the company, responsible for space flights and aerospace research in the country, continue to normalize.
According to Rogozin, the attack was carried out by several IP addresses and only the news space of the site was affected by the hackers, which he called “scammers and petty crooks”.

According to The Independent, the group Anonymous would have been responsible for the attacks. This is a collective called “Network Battalion 65”, the NB65. The group alleges that it accessed and deleted confidential files related to the agency’s satellites.
A tweet from the group says, “We won’t stop until you stop dropping bombs, killing civilians and keep invading. Go back to Russia”.
“The organizers believe that this affects something. I answer: this only affects the knowledge of Roscosmos news by space enthusiasts,” he commented on Twitter.
