While Hennessey aims to break the land speed record for a production car with the Venom F5, it has already embarked on another crazy project: a four-seat electric hypercar that develops 400 horsepower per wheel. The special thing about this land rocket is that it has 6 wheels and therefore promises 2,400 hp.
In addition, Hennessey has announced that his new creation will be the fastest four-seat vehicle in the world when accelerating from 0 to 200 miles per hour (320 km/h).
6 meters long
The Hennessey Deep Space will also be distinguished by its special architecture that will allow 4 people to be accommodated in a diamond-shaped arrangement in a body approximately 6 meters long with 3 axles, two of which are at the rear. Each of the 6 wheels will have its own electric motor. Hennessey estimates it can easily generate 400 horsepower per engine, which would make a total of 2,400 horsepower.
Enough to make this oddball car go from 0 to 320 km/h faster than any other four-seater in production. Even the Koenigsegg Gemera would pass for children’s toys with its 1,700 horsepower combined with a curb weight of 1,850 kg. Hennessey claims a weight of “more than 1,800 kg” without further details, the main weight factor being of course the batteries.
2.65 million euros
To prove the seriousness of his new project, Hennessey is working with Shell-owned Pennzoil and Cosworth-owned Delta to develop the Deep Space’s powertrain. Hennessey plans to launch its new Deep Space in 2026 at a price of $3 million, and says total production will be limited to 105 units.
The first copy has already been sold to the owner of the Venom F5 that was on display at Pebble Beach last August.
