As of December 31 of this year, Globo Internacional subscribers in Europe will no longer have the channel. The broadcaster has announced that it will disable its broadcast. The channel will not be marketed by any pay TV operator in 43 countries, with the exception of Portugal.
According to information by columnist Uol Mauricio Stycer, the channel’s shutdown is part of the changes aimed at transforming the company’s operating model. In a note to the columnist, Globo stated that “it will have a focus on direct customer service in this territory”.
