Russian freestyler Roman Egorov will not compete in the halfpipe competition at the Beijing Olympics due to an injury. About this February 16 “RIA News” Alexei Kurashov, President of the Freestyle Federation of Russia, said.
“Roma, unfortunately, will not take part in the competition. He was injured at the final stage of training during the development of his Olympic program,” Kurashov said.
The athlete must take part in the halfpipe qualification for the 2022 Olympics on February 17.
Earlier it was reported about the bronze medal won by the Russian freestyler Ilya Burov in ski acrobatics competitions.
For the jump in the medal final, the Russian received 114.93 points. The first was the Chinese Qi Guangpu (129.00 points), the second – the Ukrainian Alexander Abramenko (116.50).
Olympics 2022 takes place from 4 to 20 February, the Paralympics – from 4 to 13 March. The games will be held in three clusters at once – in Beijing (hockey, figure skating, speed skating, curling), Zhangjiakou (biathlon, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping) and Yanqing (alpine skiing, bobsleigh, skeleton and luge).
